According to the requirements of Quality Standards of Higher Education for International Students in China (Trial), for Chinese-taught programs, the Chinese language proficiency of undergraduates is required to reach at least Level 5 of the International Standard for Chinese Language Proficiency upon graduation. For foreign language-taught programs, the Chinese language proficiency of undergraduate students is required to reach at least Level 4 of the International Standard for Chinese Language Proficiency upon graduation while for postgraduate students' and doctoral students' the language proficiency is required to reach at least level 3.
