On March 25, the 7th Sino-German Didactics Dialogue Symposium was held in Hefei University. Focusing on “Artificial Intelligence in Institutionalized Learning Contexts: Perspectives from General Didactics and Subject Didactics”, experts and scholars from China, Germany and Switzerland gathered to discuss the AI-empowered education.

Ren Yong, President of HFU, delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony and introduced the University’s 41-year international exchange and cooperation in talent cultivation, curriculum development, faculty exchange and research cooperation, adhering to the orientation “l(fā)ocality, application and internationalization”. He stressed, the Sino-German Didactics Dialogue has become an important platform for academic exchange between the two countries.

Professor K?ller from Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education at Kiel University spoke on behalf of the organizing committee. He reviewed the development of the Dialogue and praised it in promoting Sino-German educational cooperation. He said, the Symposium, focusing on deep integration of AI and institutionalized learning contexts, provided an important platform for collaborative innovation in educational technology.

Participants held in-depth discussions on basic education research and general didactics, educational psychology and higher education research, and exchanged views. After the meeting, they visited HFU’s Sino-German Cooperation Exhibition.

The Symposium has built a high-level academic platform for China, Germany and Switzerland, showcasing HFU’s achievements in international education. The University will continue to strengthen its Sino-German cooperation and contribute to the high-quality development of education.
